A completed look at the Newport Coast farmhouse style kitchen I've had so much fun helping my dear client design - The kitchen of her dreams
After shopping a few of my go-to slab yards, my client and I discovered the most amazing slabs of Quartzite stone "Crystal Ice". We fell in love immediately and decided the crystal iced stone would be the focal point of the kitchen. Simple white-lacquered Shaker style custom cabinets were designed, constructed and installed. The countertop material was taken up to the full height of the backsplash to accentuate the gorgeous stone imported from Brazil.
The original cabinet height was extended upwards for new double-upper cabinets. All installed with beveled glass door fronts and display lighting. Six open shelves display assorted dishes and handmade framed art paintings which accent the charming farmhouse style, while pots and pans hang on an iron rack above. Two apron, or "farmhouse", sinks are installed with a single-handle Kholer faucet from the stunning Artifacts collection. Lastly vintage hardware knobs and pulls in brush nickel finish the cabinetry.
